NOT COVERED
Pet insurance covers future accidents and illnesses — the things you can't see coming. Here's what typically isn't covered, so you know what to look out for in your specific policy.
Pre-existing conditionsIn general, no pet insurance covers all pre-existing conditions. A pre-existing condition is defined as any injury, illness or condition that your pet shows signs or symptoms of either before you enroll in insurance or during your policy's waiting period. These conditions will be noted in your pet's veterinary medical records. Any claims for treatment related to a pre-existing condition will not be covered — unless it's a curable pre-existing condition.
Preventive care (without Fetch Wellness)If you choose not to add an optional wellness plan to your pet's insurance policy, their preventive care (like annual exams and vaccines) won't be covered.
Claims filed after 90 daysRemember to submit claims within 90 days from the date on your pet's invoice to be eligible for reimbursement with Fetch Pet. Claims submitted after 90 days won't be covered.
Routine Care Add-Ons
What Wellness covers: annual exams, vaccines, flea & tick prevention & moreFetch Wellness works differently to your pet's Accident and Illness pet insurance. First, there's no copay, no deductible and no waiting period for Wellness coverage. Next, instead of getting paid back 70%, 80% or 90% of approved claims, you get reimbursed a set dollar amount for each type of preventive care. Take a look.
- Annual exam: You get up to $100/yr. paid backA complete check-up to make sure your pet is healthy and find any hidden signs of illness.
- Vaccinations: You get up to $125/yr. paid backProtection against infectious diseases like rabies that can cause serious illness or death.
- Heartworm, flea & tick prevention: You get up to $250/yr. paid backMedication to keep your pet safe from harmful parasites and disease-carrying insects.
- Dental cleaning: You get up to $250/yr. paid backMore than just a good teeth cleaning. A full oral exam to detect and treat dental disease.
- Spaying or neutering: You get up to $250/yr. paid backProcedures with health benefits like preventing certain cancers and behavioral issues.
- Blood, urine & fecal tests: You get up to $230/yr. paid backTests for your pet's bodily functions to catch illnesses early and detect harmful parasites.
